Water on earth shall vanish - mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by Science!

The sections of this article are:

1-  Allah Almighty's Divine Claims, Glad Tidings and Warnings.
2-  The Scientific proofs.
3-  Conclusion.

The topic of this article, the Noble Verses and the first scientific reference below were all sent to me by brother Mahir Karaosmanovic; may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him.  In other words, almost the entire article was sent to me by the Muslim brother.

1-  Allah Almighty's Divine Claims, Glad Tidings and Warnings:

The Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and notions.  These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe.  What's most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries.  Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood.  The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement with science and discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.

Allah Almighty Said: "We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?  (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"

With this said, let us look at what Allah Almighty Said in the Noble Quran.  The following Noble Verses, 18:1-10, were sent to me by brother Mahir Karaosmanovic; may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him:

Noble Verse(s) 18:1-18:10
Yusuf Ali:

[018:001]  Praise be to God, Who hath sent to His Servant the Book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness:

[018:002]  (He hath made it) Straight (and Clear) in order that He may warn (the godless) of a terrible Punishment from Him, and that He may give Glad Tidings to the Believers who work righteous deeds, that they shall have a goodly Reward,

[018:003]  Wherein they shall remain for ever:

[018:004]  Further, that He may warn those (also) who say, "God hath begotten a son":

[018:005]  No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying what they say is nothing but falsehood!

[018:006]  Thou wouldst only, perchance, fret thyself to death, following after them, in grief, if they believe not in this Message.

[018:007]  That which is on earth we have made but as a glittering show for the earth, in order that We may test them - as to which of them are best in conduct.

[018:008]  Verily what is on earth we shall make but as dust and dry soil (without growth or herbage).

[018:009]  Or dost thou reflect that the Companions of the Cave and of the Inscription were wonders among Our Sign?

[018:010]  Behold, the youths betook themselves to the Cave: they said, "Our Lord! bestow on us Mercy from Thyself, and dispose of our affair for us in the right way!"

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[018:001]  All the praise belongs to Allah, Who revealed the book to His servant, and in it is included nothing queer.

[018:002]  (It is) straightforward, to sound a prior warning about His stern punishment, and to deliver the happy news to the believers, _ those of them with good deeds _ that theirs shall be the bountiful rewards.

[018:003]  In it (the paradise), they shall reside forever!

[018:004]  And to admonish those who claim that Allah has begotten a son.

[018:005]  Regarding that, neither they nor their forefathers had any knowledge. Presumptuous are the words that escape their lips! What they utter is nothing but a falsehood.

[018:006]  Would you, then, be overcome with sorrow and agonize over their refusal to accept this message (contained in the Qur’an)?

[018:007]  We have, in fact, fashioned everything in this world as mere adornments in order to test them! To see who amongst them performs the righteous deeds!

[018:008]  And We are definitely going to convert the earth into a bone-dry barren plateau.

[018:009]  Do you regard the companions of the cave and the inscription tablet (upon the cave) as exceptional marvels among Our signs?

[018:010]  Those young men sought refuge in the cave and said, “Our Lord! By Your grace, grant us Your mercy and resolve our affairs suitably!”

Sher Ali:

[018:001]  All praise belongs to ALLAH WHO has sent down the Book to HIS servant, and has not placed therein any crookedness.

[018:002]  HE has made it a guardian, that it may give warning of a severe chastisement from HIM, and that it may give the believers, who do good works, the glad tidings that they shall have a goodly reward,

[018:003]  Wherein they will abide forever;

[018:004]  And that it may warn those who say, `ALLAH has taken unto Himself a son.'

[018:005]  No knowledge have they thereof, nor had their fathers. Monstrous is the word that comes out of their mouths. They speak naught but a lie.

[018:006]  So it may be, thou wilt grieve thyself to death sorrowing after them if they believe not in this Discourse.

[018:007]  Verily, WE have made all that is on the earth an ornament for it, that WE may try them as to which of them is the best in conduct.

[018:008]  And WE shall destroy all that is thereon and make it a barren soil.

[018:009]  Dost thou think that the Companions of the Cave and the Inscription were a wonder among Our Signs ?

[018:010]  When the young men betook themselves to the Cave for refuge they said, `Our Lord, bestow on us mercy from Thyself, and furnish us with right guidance in our affair.

Shakir:

[018:001]  (All) praise is due to Allah, Who revealed the Book to His servant and did not make in it any crookedness.

[018:002]  Rightly directing, that he might give warning of severe punishment from Him and give good news to the believers who do good that they shall have a goodly reward,

[018:003]  Staying in it for ever;

[018:004]  And warn those who say: Allah has taken a son.

[018:005]  They have no knowledge of it, nor had their fathers; a grievous word it is that comes out of their mouths; they speak nothing but a lie.

[018:006]  Then maybe you will kill yourself with grief, sorrowing after them, if they do not believe in this announcement.

[018:007]  Surely We have made whatever is on the earth an embellishment for it, so that We may try them (as to) which of them is best in works.

[018:008]  And most surely We will make what is on it bare ground without herbage.

[018:009]  Or, do you think that the Fellows of the Cave and the Inscription were of Our wonderful signs?

[018:010]  When the youths sought refuge in the cave, they said: Our Lord! grant us mercy from Thee, and provide for us a right course in our affair.

Pickthall:

[018:001]  Praise be to Allah Who hath revealed the Scripture unto His slave, and hath not placed therein any crookedness,

[018:002]  (But hath made it) straight, to give warning of stern punishment from Him, and to bring unto the believers who do good works the news that theirs will be a fair reward,

[018:003]  Wherein they will abide for ever;

[018:004]  And to warn those who say: Allah hath chosen a son,

[018:005]  (A thing) whereof they have no knowledge, nor (had) their fathers, Dreadful is the word that cometh out of their mouths. They speak naught but a lie.

[018:006]  Yet it may be, if they believe not in this statement, that thou (Muhammad) wilt torment thy soul with grief over their footsteps.

[018:007]  Lo! We have placed all that is on the earth as an ornament thereof that We may try them: which of them is best in conduct.

[018:008]  And lo! We shall make all that is thereon a barren mound.

[018:009]  Or deemest thou that the People of the Cave and the Inscription are a wonder among Our portents ?

[018:010]  When the young men fled for refuge to the Cave and said: Our Lord! Give us mercy from Thy presence, and shape for us right conduct in our plight.

Sale:

[018:001]  Praise be unto God, who hath sent down unto his servant the book of the Koran, and hath not inserted any crookedness, but hath made it a strait rule:

[018:002]  That He should threaten a grievous punishment unto the unbelievers, from his presence; and should bear good tidings unto the faithful, who work righteousness, that they shall receive an excellent reward, namely, paradise,

[018:003]  wherein they shall remain for ever:

[018:004]  And that He should warn those who say, God hath begotten issue;

[018:005]  of which matter they have no knowledge, neither had their fathers. A grievous saying it is, which proceedeth from their mouths: They speak no other than a lie.

[018:006]  Peradventure thou wilt kill thy self with grief after them, out of thy earnest zeal for their conversion, if they believe not in this new revelation of the Koran.

[018:007]  Verily we have ordained whatsoever is on the earth for the ornament thereof, that we might make trial of men, and see which of them excelleth in works:

[018:008]  And we will surely reduce whatever is thereon, to dry dust.

[018:009]  Dost thou consider that the companions of the cave, and Al Rakim, were one of our signs, and a great miracle?

[018:010]  When the young men took refuge in the cave, they said, O Lord, grant us mercy from before thee, and dispose our business for us to a right issue.

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

[018:001]  All the praises and thanks be to Allah, Who has sent down to His slave (Muhammad SAW) the Book (the Quran), and has not placed therein any crookedness.

[018:002]  (He has made it) Straight to give warning (to the disbelievers) of a severe punishment from Him, and to give glad tidings to the believers (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), who work righteous deeds, that they shall have a fair reward (i.e. Paradise).

[018:003]  They shall abide therein forever.

[018:004]  And to warn those (Jews, Christians, and pagans) who say, "Allah has begotten a son (or offspring or children)."

[018:005]  No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths (i.e. He begot (took) sons and daughters). They utter nothing but a lie.

[018:006]  Perhaps, you, would kill yourself (O Muhammad SAW) in grief, over their footsteps (for their turning away from you), because they believe not in this narration (the Quran).

[018:007]  Verily! We have made that which is on earth as an adornment for it, in order that We may test them (mankind) as to which of them are best in deeds. (i.e.those who do good deeds in the most perfect manner, that means to do them (deeds) totally for Allahs sake and in accordance to the legal ways of the Prophet SAW ).

[018:008]  And verily! We shall make all that is on it (the earth) a bare dry soil (without any vegetation or trees, etc.).

[018:009]  Do you think that the people of the Cave and the Inscription (the news or the names of the people of the Cave) were a wonder among Our Signs?

[018:010]  (Remember) when the young men fled for refuge (from their disbelieving folk) to the Cave, they said: "Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!"

Palmer:

[018:001]  Praise belongs to God, who sent down to His servant the Book and put no crookedness therein,-

[018:002]  straight, to give warning of keen violence from Him; and to give the glad tidings to the believers, who do what is right, that for them is a goodly reward

[018:003]  wherein they shall abide for ever and for aye;

[018:004]  and to give warning to those who say, 'God hath taken to Himself a son.'

[018:005]  They have no knowledge thereof, nor their fathers; a serious word it is that comes forth from their mouths! verily, they only speak a lie!

[018:006]  Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death for sorrow after them, if they believe not in this new revelation.

[018:007]  Verily, we have made what is on the earth an ornament thereof, to try them, which of them is best in works;

[018:008]  but, verily, we are going to make what is thereon bare soil.

[018:009]  Hast thou reckoned that the Fellows of the Cave and Er-raqim were a wonder amongst our signs?'

[018:010]  When the youths resorted to the cave and said, 'O our Lord! bring us mercy from Thee, and dispose for us our affair aright!'

Arberry:

[018:001]  Praise belongs to God who has sent down upon His servant the Book and has not assigned unto it any crookedness;

[018:002]  right, to warn of great violence from Him, and to give good tidings unto the believers, who do righteous deeds, that theirs shall be a goodly wage

[018:003]  therein to abide for ever,

[018:004]  and to warn those who say, 'God has taken to Himself a son';

[018:005]  they have no knowledge of it, they nor their fathers; a monstrous word it is, issuing out of their mouths; they say nothing but a lie.

[018:006]  Yet perchance, if they believe not in this tiding, thou wilt consume thyself, following after them, of grief.

[018:007]  We have appointed all that is on the earth for an adornment for it, and that We may try which of them is fairest in works;

[018:008]  and We shall surely make all that is on it barren dust.

[018:009]  Or dost thou think the Men of the Cave and Er-Rakeem were among Our signs a wonder?

[018:010]  When the youths took refuge in the Cave saying, 'Our lord, give us mercy from Thee, and furnish us with rectitude in our affair.'

Khalifa: (why is he here?)

[018:001]  Praise GOD, who revealed to His servant this scripture, and made it flawless.

[018:002]  A perfect (scripture) to warn of severe retribution from Him, and to deliver good news to the believers who lead a righteous life, that they have earned a generous recompense.

[018:003]  Wherein they abide forever.

[018:004]  And to warn those who said, "GOD has begotten a son!"

[018:005]  They possess no knowledge about this, nor did their parents. What a blasphemy coming out of their mouths! What they utter is a gross lie.

[018:006]  You may blame yourself on account of their response to this narration, and their disbelieving in it; you may be saddened.

[018:007]  We have adorned everything on earth, in order to test them, and thus distinguish those among them who work righteousness.

[018:008]  Inevitably, we will wipe out everything on it, leaving it completely barren.

[018:009]  Why else do you think we are telling you about the people of the cave, and the numbers connected with them? They are among our wondrous signs.

[018:010]  When the youths took refuge in the cave, they said, "Our Lord, shower us with Your mercy, and bless our affairs with Your guidance."

Rodwell:

[018:001]  PRAISE be to God, who hath sent down the Book to his servant, and hath not made it tortuous

[018:002]  But direct; that it may warn of a grievous woe from him, and announce to the faithful who do the things that are right, that a goodly reward,

[018:003]  wherein they shall abide for ever, awaiteth them;

[018:004]  And that it may warn those who say, "God hath begotten a Son."

[018:005]  No knowledge of this have either they or their fathers! A grievous saying to come out of their mouths! They speak no other than a lie!

[018:006]  And haply, if they believe not in this new revelation, thou wilt slay thyself, on their very footsteps, out of vexation.

[018:007]  Verily, we have made all that is on earth as its adornment, that we might make trial who among mankind would excel in works:

[018:008]  But we are surely about to reduce all that is thereon to dust!

[018:009]  Hast thou reflected that the Inmates of THE CAVE and of Al Rakim were on our wondrous signs?

[018:010]  When the youths betook them to the cave they said, "O our Lord! grant us mercy from before thee, and order for us our affair aright."

As we clearly see in all of the English translations above, virtually all of them translated the Arabic Noble Verse to mean that the earth will eventually run out of water and become dry soil.  Very nice.  Now let us look at what science says regarding this.

2-  The Scientific proofs:

The following scientific quotes from prominent Western scientific sources confirm Allah Almighty's Divine Claims above:

Article #1:

The following reference from Wikipedia was sent to me by brother Mahir Karaosmanovic; may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him:

The site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Earth

The location: "Future"

Future

See also: Risks to civilization, humans and planet Earth

The future of the planet is closely tied to that of the Sun. As a result of the steady accumulation of helium ash at the Sun's core, the star's total luminosity will slowly increase. The luminosity of the Sun will increase by 10 percent over the next 1.1 billion years (1.1 Gyr), and by 40% over the next 3.5 Gyr.[118] Climate models indicate that the rise in radiation reaching the Earth is likely to have dire consequences, including the possible loss of the planet's oceans.[119]
The Earth's increasing surface temperature will accelerate the
inorganic CO2 cycle, reducing its concentration to the lethal levels for plants (10 ppm for C4 photosynthesis) in 900 million years. But even if the Sun were eternal and stable, the continued internal cooling of the Earth would have resulted in a loss of much of its atmosphere and oceans (due to lower volcanism).[120] After another billion years the surface water will have completely disappeared.[121]
The Sun, as part of its solar lifespan, will expand to a
red giant in about 5 Gyr. Models predict that the Sun will expand out to about 99% of the distance to the Earth's present orbit (1 astronomical unit, or AU). However, by that time, the orbit of the Earth may have expanded to about 1.7 AUs because of the diminished mass of the Sun. The planet might thus escape envelopment by the expanded Sun's sparse outer atmosphere, though most (if not all) existing life will have been destroyed by the Sun's proximity to the Earth.[118]

What happends when all oceans disappear? The herbage and growth will not get any rain on it because of the rain cycle being stoped when no water exists on earth to "Send back" water as Allah allmighty explains in several verses!

Article #2:

"Life cycle

The Sun's current main sequence age, determined using computer models of stellar evolution and nucleocosmochronology, is thought to be about 4.57 billion years.[7]

It is thought that about 4.59 billion years ago, the rapid collapse of a hydrogen molecular cloud led to the formation of a third generation T Tauri Population I star, the Sun. The nascent star assumed a nearly circular orbit about 26,000 light-years from the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy.[8]

The Sun is about halfway through its main-sequence evolution, during which nuclear fusion reactions in its core fuse hydrogen into helium. Each second, more than 4 million tonnes of matter are converted into energy within the Sun's core, producing neutrinos and solar radiation; at this rate, the Sun will have so far converted around 100 Earth-masses of matter into energy. The Sun will spend a total of approximately 10 billion years as a main sequence star.

The Sun does not have enough mass to explode as a supernova. Instead, in 5–6 billion years, it will enter a red giant phase, its outer layers expanding as the hydrogen fuel in the core is consumed and the core contracts and heats up. Helium fusion will begin when the core temperature reaches around 100 MK, and will produce carbon and oxygen, entering the asymptotic giant branch of a planetary nebula phase in about 7.8 billion years, during which instabilities in interior temperature lead the surface of the sun to shed mass. While it is likely that the expansion of the outer layers of the Sun will reach the current position of Earth's orbit, recent research suggests that mass lost from the Sun earlier in its red giant phase will cause the Earth's orbit to move further out, preventing it from being engulfed.[9] However, Earth's water will be boiled away and most of its atmosphere will escape into space. The increase in solar temperatures over this period is sufficient that by about 900 million years into the future, the surface of the Earth will become too hot for the survival of life as we know it.[10] After another billion years the surface water will have completely disappeared.[11]

Life-cycle of the Sun; sizes are not drawn to scale.

Following the red giant phase, intense thermal pulsations will cause the Sun to throw off its outer layers, forming a planetary nebula. The only object that will remain after the outer layers are ejected is the extremely hot stellar core, which will slowly cool and fade as a white dwarf over many billions of years. This stellar evolution scenario is typical of low- to medium-mass stars.[9][12] " (Source)

3-  Conclusion:

Again, the Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and notions.

Allah Almighty's Divine Promise about causing the planet earth to lose all of its water and become all dry soil is in perfect agreement with Science.  It is truly amazing that again and again the Noble Quran proves Itself to be in perfect agreement with science and our scientific discoveries of today in all of the fields.

Indeed, all Praise and Glory are due to Allah Almighty alone for making the Noble Quran be the Perfect and Everlasting Miracle, for us humans, out of all of His Divine Miracles!  And may Allah Almighty send His Peace, Mercy and Blessings upon our Beloved and Blessed Prophet, Teacher and Role Model, Muhammad.  Ameen.

    The egg-shaped earth's orbit!

    This is not the only time Allah Almighty used a notion for astronomy.  In another Noble Verse, He described the shape of the earth's orbit around the sun as egg-shaped which had also been confirmed by science.

    The S-shaped moon orbit!

    This is not the only time Allah Almighty used a notion for astronomy.  In another Noble Verse, He described the shape of the moon's entire orbit around the earth as a shape of an old and dried-out date tree's branch, also scientifically known and confirmed today as S-shaped.  The shape of the old and dried-out branch of a date tree does resemble the letter "S".  I provided images in the article that prove this.
